Charming apartment in a villa of the XIV Century on the hills around Signa

Villa Pandolfini is the main villa of the property located in the hills north of Florence. The estate extends over the hills around Signa, and is composed by private woods, vineyards, and olive groves. In the town of Signa, just 3 km away, there are all kinds of shops. The Lastra a Signa railway station is located just 700 meters from the property and allows you to reach Florence in 15/20 minutes.

The villa was built at the end of the 14th century on a project by Leon Battista Alberti, and has been completely renovated and divided in two splendid apartments. Imposing stone columns, terracotta floors and high frescoed ceilings are the characteristic of this structure which has been described as one of the best examples of a 14th century villa in Tuscany. A large colonnaded loggia, opening onto an Italian garden with lemon trees, hedges and fountains, forms the entrance to the apartments.

In the property there is a swimming pool (12x6m) set among the olive trees which is shared with the other guests.

The apartment is on the ground floor and is characterized by furnishings that reflect the style of the villa. The large windows surrounded by pietra serena, the high frescoed ceilings, the crystal chandeliers and the mirrors surrounded in gold, enhance a warm and elegant environment.
