description
Farmhouse in a splendid setting, on the hills between the towns of Volterra, San Gimignano and Gambassi Terme
280 m2 + land 5000 m2
On the hills of central Tuscany, an area that is still uncontaminated and devoted to tourism for its natural beauty and historic villages that characterize it, is this farmhouse which is offered for sale. San Gimignano with its medieval towers is about 10 km away. Volterra with its Renaissance ramparts can be reached in about 20 km. Gambassi Terme with its nineteenth-century structures is only 15 km away. The house can be reached through a white road of about 3.5 km
The farmhouse stands alone halfway up a hill, with a view that embraces the surrounding valleys. A partially fenced garden surrounds the house and offers corners for relaxation and for enjoying the summer countryside. A pizza oven in the garden promises tasty al fresco dinners.
The property is spread over two floors: the property is accessed from the ground floor by entering a splendid, very bright eat-in kitchen, with a window overlooking the sink, a dream of the perfect imaginary farmhouse; always from the kitchen you have the possibility to enter the first bathroom passing through a large room which also has the function of closet / laundry.
Continuing after the kitchen you enter a large living room with fireplace, very bright with two windows and a French door from which you can directly access the garden with a view over the valley.
From the living room, a characteristic staircase leads to the upper floor landing in a large room used as a study, bright and where we find on the right access to the double bedroom with bathroom, with two windows and two French windows with a small balcony overlooking the Valley. Still passing through the study, on the left you enter two single bedrooms plus a large bathroom with window.
The renovation has kept the original materials, and the typical architectural elements, such as the arches for passage between the various rooms, the red bricks, the terracotta floors. The ceilings are all with exposed beams and the facades are in recently renovated exposed stone.
LPG heating
In the garden there is a cistern for collecting rainwater.
